要獲得驗證，所提交的測試數據必須來自經過認證的實驗室，可以提供符合ISO / IEC 17025標準的證據，具有以下一個或多個範圍：
鉛管
EPA WaterSense
低鉛
飲用水 - 毒性/添加劑/治療單位
官方墨西哥標準（NOM），用於水衣，沖洗閥，填充閥，流量計和噴頭
機械（即中央交流，空氣源熱泵，通風扇，抽油煙機）
材料和組分（即塑料化合物，曝氣機，濾芯）
太陽能供暖產品（收集器和系統）
游泳池（即抽吸配件，系統撇渣器，游泳池泵，過濾器，氯化器，安全真空釋放系統）

步驟1完全閱讀申請表
步驟2完成製造信息表格。
步驟3完全閱讀附帶的上市協議。簽署日期並交回兩份原檔
步驟4請聯繫IAPMO研發人員確定費用;向協會提交申請表，上市協議和費用，以及步驟5至14中提到的部分
步驟5取得適用於IAPMO R＆T驗證標誌的上市協議。
步驟6提供產品的詳細尺寸工程圖紙的副本，包括位置，所需驗證標誌的文本和類型以及產品標準所要求的所有標記。
步驟7從IAPMO R＆T上市實驗室提供一份測試報告的副本，表明符合相關產品標準。
步驟8向產品驗證委員會（PCC）提供產品樣品。
步驟9提供提交列表的每個產品的正常尺寸照片。每張照片應包含盡可能多的標記和識別細節
步驟10提供以下原件的一份：顯示和描述產品，保養和維護的文獻/小冊子說明和安裝說明。
步驟11提供用於上市產品的製造或倉儲或製造的地點倉庫的地址、電話號碼、聯繫人姓名以及第17節所要求的其他信息的上市協議。
步驟12產品驗證委員會（PCC）的接受將由向協會工作人員提供的申請人，適當的生產樣品在上市之前具有最終的適當標記。
步驟13（電氣/電氣管道產品驗證）提供1套完整的材料清單，電氣原理圖和詳細說明組件列表（包括：製造商，型號，NRTL驗證和完整的電氣等級）
