EHPA熱泵質量標章源於奧地利，德國和瑞士熱泵協會的活動，以創建一套共同的要求，以確保熱泵的產品和服務質量（按照國際國際標準命名為DA-CH質量標籤） 。這個想法在歐洲熱泵協會得到了進一步發展，並且國家範圍一直在擴大。為了反映這一發展，DA-CH質量標籤已逐漸被EHPA質量標章（EHPA-QL）所取代。除創始國之外，瑞典（2007年），芬蘭（2008年），比利時，法國（2010年）和荷蘭（2012年）引入了EHPA質量標章，共有11個參與國。其在更多國家的使用和發展正在籌備中。

在EHPA認可的測試中心之一測試單個設備或型號範圍
在選擇的參與國之一的國家質量標籤委員會申請
國家質量標籤委員會將對申請進行評估，並在該單位達到質量要求時授予該特定國家的標籤。
一旦標籤被授予，將收到官方證書和要打印的單位標籤。該標籤也可以用於市場營銷目的。注意：這可能只能用於授予標籤的國家！
在獲得原始標籤後，可以立即申請貼在不同的國家/地區。因此，需要聯繫想要獲得該標籤的國家/地區的國家質量標籤委員會。並提供給他們：
注意：標籤的有效期與原始父證書的有效期一致
如何申請展延：
EHPA質量標籤有效期為3年。有可能將標籤的有效性再續簽3年。這最多可以做兩次。EHPA認可的測試中心在需要時會要求重新測試，例如某個特定組件已被更換，這會對整體性能產生重大影響。
