基本資料

Standardization Testing and Quality Certification，STQC全名為電子產品強制性註冊要求，證明電子產品符合相關IEC安全標準的要求。目前印度主要針對零件以及少數的家電用品是規範為強制類品。未來對於部份資訊以及消費性產品，印度官方也將進一步實施強制性安全規範。
該安全驗證制度旨在通過評估、檢測和後續監督等程序證明電子產品符合相關IEC安全標準的要求，STQC安全驗證並非強制性驗證，未來將改為強制性，但尚無強制的時間表前STQC可接受廠商自願申請驗證，廠商可以根據需要自願提出申請。遵照國際標準ISO/ IEC guide 40和EN 45011標準。所有產品的測試結構都必須經由被認可的實驗室來執行測試，由於印度也是IECEE-CB成員，所有來自IECEE成員國的CB也能被認可。測試報告採用CB測試報告的模式。補做差異部分的測試項目後，即可裝換成STQC證書。

驗證申請流程

  1. 產品測試：註冊申請人應首先將樣品送印度標準局認可的測試實驗室進行檢測，由實驗室出具相關測試報告，製造商應對產品的每個關鍵零部件做出聲明，並提交關鍵零部件的符合性依據（測試報告）
  2. 註冊申請：申請人取得測試報告後，應填寫相應的申請表格提交註冊申請，並繳納註冊費用，提交製造商的CEO或授權代表簽字的相關資料
  3. 加貼標籤；申請人完成註冊後將獲得特定的註冊號碼。製造商應加貼自我聲明標籤於產品上，自我聲明的標籤應該按造官方格式。

驗證費用

一份測試報告的註冊申請費用為25000盧比（不含12.36％稅）
若單次註冊之中有額外的測試報告，每份需額外繳納10000盧比（不含12.36％稅）
若製造商被正式授與登記註冊，未來申請其他註冊型號之產品，每份測設報告只需繳納10000盧比（不含12.36％稅）的註冊費用，
註冊有效期限為兩年，每次更新需繳納更新註冊費25000盧比

取得效益

受管制的產品如不符合標準規定，沒有在BIS進行註冊或沒家貼自我聲明-符合IS國家標準的字樣，任何人不得自行或通過他人以其名義生產、儲存、進口、銷售或分銷，不合規定的不合格或有缺陷的產品，生產商將不能繼續生產該商品，並應將其作為缺陷商品進行報廢處理
