越南環保標章計畫自2009年3月起在全國展開，利用生命週期為基礎，並以污染管控為重點，透過減少能源和材料的消耗、減少生產過程之浪費及銷售和使用階段的浪費，以實現改善和保持生活環境的品質，為自願性之第一類環保標章。
共14類產品：辦公用紙office paper、電池batteries、建築塗料產品architectural coating products、影印機printers、筆記型電腦laptops、陶瓷建築材料ceramic building materials、護髮產品hair care products、固體肥皂solid soap、粉末洗衣洗滌劑powder laundry detergent、手洗碗碟洗滌劑hand dishwashing detergents、可生物降解塑料購物袋biodegradable plastic shopping bag、合成紙食品包裝synthetic paper food packaging、螢光燈（日光燈）fluorescent lamp、碳粉匣toner cartridge
越南環保標章辦公室（VGL office）
越南政府負責越南環保標章驗證之審查預算和使用情況審視。參加越南環保標章驗證之企業不需要支付申請費用、評估費用或許可證費用。
越南環保標章由越南政府所支持推動，且其政府之綠色採購優先採用獲得越南環保標章之產品。
